Allied Benefit Systems Payer ID: 37308
The Allied Benefit Systems payer ID for electronic claims is 37308. Allied publishes a second ID, 75068, for plans under Allstate Benefits. Allied's own instruction overrides any list, including this one: use the payer ID printed on the member's ID card.

The card beats any list
Allied administers health plans for self-funded employers. Each employer's plan has its own group number, network arrangement and ID card. Allied's provider page says to refer to the member ID card for the correct payer ID. If the card prints a different payer ID or claims address, follow the card.
How clearinghouses list the Allied payer ID
Most billing systems pick a payer from the clearinghouse's own payer list, not from a typed ID. Clearinghouses also label the same payer in different ways, so searching your clearinghouse for "37308" usually works better than searching for "Allied". This table shows what each public list showed when we checked it.
| Source | Listed as | ID | What the listing covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Allied (official provider page) | Allied Benefit Systems; Allstate Benefits | 3730875068 | Electronic claims through a clearinghouse |
| Optum ERA payer list (updated 01/30/2025) | Allied Benefit Systems (837I & 837P) | 37308 | 835 remittance; enrollment flag set to Y |
| Optum institutional claims payer list (updated 01/30/2025) | Allied Benefit Systems | 37308 | 837I institutional claims |
| Stedi payer network | Allied Benefit Systems (aliases include "Allied Benefit Systems, LLC") | 37308 | 270/271, 837P, 837I, 837D, 277CA, 835, 276/277, 275 attachments |
| Claim.MD payer page | Allied Benefit Systems | 37308 | Professional and institutional claims, ERA; shows alternate IDs 1759 and 8573 |
| Experian Health real-time payer list (October 2026) | Allied Benefit Systems (national) | not shown | Eligibility and batch claim status; marked as needing extra enrollment information |
| Conduent Eligibility Gateway 270/271 guide (2021) | Allied Benefit Systems | 10898 | Eligibility inquiries only, on Conduent's gateway |
We could not check Availity, Waystar or Office Ally directly. Their payer lists sit behind a login or an interactive search, so we have left them out of the table rather than guess. If you bill through one of them, search its payer list for 37308 and read the enrollment notes before your first claim. Our guide to sending 837P and 837I claims to Allied walks through that check.
Alternate IDs you may see, and when to ignore them
Search a few payer databases and you will find more numbers attached to Allied. Most of them are a single vendor's internal routing code, not a second Allied payer ID.
10898- Conduent's eligibility gateway code for Allied, listed in its commercial 270/271 payer guide. It is useful if your eligibility tool runs on that gateway. It is not listed on Allied's own pages.
1759,8573- Alternate IDs shown on Claim.MD's Allied page. These look like clearinghouse cross-references, so leave them out of a claim's payer ID field unless Claim.MD support tells you otherwise.
- Variant entries
- Some lists include an Allied entry tied to a specific client, such as a "Christian Brothers Services" alias in Stedi's network. If a member's card names one of these programs, match the clearinghouse entry to the card, not to the plain "Allied" listing.
Here is the practical rule. 37308 and 75068 are the two IDs Allied itself publishes. Any other number is clearinghouse-specific. Use one only when the member's card or your clearinghouse's payer list tells you to.
How to find the right payer ID for a claim
A wrong payer ID is one of the most common reasons a claim bounces at the clearinghouse or lands with the wrong administrator. A minute of checking at registration saves a rejection later. Use this order of checks:
- Read both sides of the ID card. Look for "Payer ID", "EDI", "Electronic claims" or "Submit claims to" on the back. Note the group number, the PPO network name and any claims address.
- Match the administrator name. If the card names Allied Benefit Systems and shows 37308, that is your ID. If it carries Allstate Benefits branding or shows 75068, use 75068.
- Look for a network logo. Allied plans often rent a PPO network, such as Aetna Signature Administrators, Cigna, MultiPlan/PHCS, First Health or a Blue Cross plan. The network sets your contracted rate. The administrator, and therefore the payer ID, still comes from what the card says about claims submission.
- Search your clearinghouse by ID. Enter 37308 or 75068 in the clearinghouse payer search. Confirm which transactions it supports and whether claims, ERA or eligibility need enrollment.
- Run an eligibility check. A successful 271 response, or a lookup in Allied's Provider FastTrack, confirms the member, the plan and the dates of coverage before you bill. See the eligibility and benefits verification guide.
- Save the result. Store the payer ID, the group number and a copy of the card in the patient account, so the next claim does not start from zero.
Worked example (hypothetical)
A therapy clinic registers a new patient. The front of the card shows "Allied Benefit Systems" and a PHCS network logo. The back says "Electronic claims: Payer ID 37308" and gives a P.O. Box for paper claims. The clinic bills the PHCS contracted rate, sends the 837P to 37308, and records the P.O. Box as the paper fallback. Another patient's card from the same employer shows Allstate Benefits branding and 75068. That claim goes to 75068, even though both patients work for the same company.
Paper claims and Allied contact details
Electronic submission is faster, and Allied's provider page encourages it. If you have to send paper, Allied's current forms point you to the address on the back of the employee's ID card. The address printed on Allied's published forms and contact page is:
- USPS mail
- Allied Benefit Systems, P.O. Box 211651, Eagan, MN 55121
- FedEx or UPS
- 960 Blue Gentian Road, Eagan, MN 55121
- Phone
- (800) 288-2078
- Fax
- (312) 906-8359, with Allied's claim submission cover sheet
Do not mail claims to the Chicago office. Allied's contact page says the 200 West Adams Street address does not receive mail. You may also find an older Chicago P.O. Box (909786) on third-party lists. It does not appear on Allied's current forms, so treat it as out of date unless a member's card prints it. Our Allied Benefit Systems claims mailing address guide covers CMS-1500 and UB-04 packaging, the fax cover sheet and member-submitted claims.
Eligibility and claim status tools
Allied offers providers two web tools, both described on its provider resources page:
- Provider FastTrack
- Eligibility and claim status without a login. Useful for a quick check at the front desk.
- Provider Portal
- Requires registration. Shows eligibility and claim status, deductible and out-of-pocket amounts, ID card images, plan information, and self-service forms and reports.
- Clearinghouse 270/271
- Stedi and Experian Health both list real-time eligibility for Allied, so most practice-management systems can run the check inside the normal workflow.
This site is an independent reference. It has no login, and it does not look up members or claims. To use Allied's tools, open them from Allied's official provider resources page.
Timely filing at a glance
Allied does not publish one timely filing limit for every plan, because each self-funded employer plan sets its own rules. Allied's medical claim form says charges must be submitted within the time frame in the plan's summary plan description, and late charges are denied. For in-network providers, the PPO network agreement may set its own deadline too. If the two differ, ask Allied which one applies to the claim.
Federal rules under ERISA add some guardrails for appeals. A group health plan generally has to decide a post-service claim within 30 days, with one 15-day extension allowed. Claimants get at least 180 days after a denial notice to appeal. The timely filing, corrected claims and appeals guide covers frequency codes, the fax cover sheet categories and a deadline worksheet.
Who Allied Benefit Systems is, and why the card matters
Allied Benefit Systems is a third-party administrator (TPA). It does not insure members. It runs claims and plan administration for employers that self-fund their health benefits. Allied's website says it was founded in 1980 and serves more than 14,500 self-insured employers. Each of those plans can choose its own network, pharmacy program and benefit design.
That structure explains the advice repeated on this page. The administrator is Allied, but the rules come from the employer's plan document. The network on the card sets the price, and the card shows where the claim goes. Billers who treat "Allied" as one fixed payer with one address and one deadline run into avoidable denials. Billers who read the card and check eligibility usually do not.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Allied Benefit Systems payer ID?
The payer ID Allied publishes for Allied Benefit Systems claims is 37308. Optum, Stedi and Claim.MD payer lists show the same ID. Allied also tells providers to always use the payer ID printed on the member ID card, so check the card before you send.
Which payer ID do I use for Allstate Benefits plans that Allied administers?
Allied lists a second payer ID, 75068, for Allstate Benefits. If the card carries Allstate Benefits branding or shows 75068, send the claim to 75068 rather than 37308.
Is 10898 an Allied Benefit Systems payer ID?
The number 10898 is the code Conduent's eligibility gateway uses for Allied in its 270/271 payer guide. Allied's own provider pages do not list it as a claims payer ID. Only enter 10898 if your clearinghouse tells you to use it for eligibility; for claims, use 37308 or the ID on the card.
Where do I mail paper claims for Allied Benefit Systems?
Mail paper claims to the address printed on the back of the member ID card. Allied's current claim forms and contact page list P.O. Box 211651, Eagan, MN 55121. The Chicago office address does not accept mail.
What is the Allied Benefit Systems phone number?
Allied's claim forms and fax cover sheet list customer service at (800) 288-2078 and fax at (312) 906-8359. Allied's contact page tells members to call the number on the back of their ID card, which reaches the service team assigned to their plan.
Can I send institutional (UB-04) claims to Allied electronically?
Yes. Optum lists Allied Benefit Systems under 37308 for both 837I and 837P, and Stedi's payer network shows professional, institutional and dental claim submission for the same ID.
Do I need to enroll to get ERAs from Allied Benefit Systems?
Optum's ERA payer list marks Allied Benefit Systems (37308) as requiring enrollment. Most clearinghouses handle ERA enrollment separately from claims, so start the 835 enrollment through your clearinghouse before you expect remittances.
What is the timely filing limit for Allied Benefit Systems claims?
There is no single limit. Allied administers self-funded employer plans, and its claim form says charges must be submitted within the time frame in the plan's summary plan description. A network contract may set a separate provider deadline. Verify the limit for each plan.
